… variations of a theme … abstract … thoughts

yesterday i created an abstract, which i called Sweet Dreams… today i used the same colors (well more or less, plus/minus one or the other)… and created a totally different abstract. did i ever mention that i love to play with colors? well i do.. my inner child does.. my muse approves……. so… we are all happy 🙂 i called this new one.. “Variations of a Theme” by which i mean the colors. they are the theme here… thus the title. so without further ado… let me show you my latest two artworks

see what i mean ? same colors, totally different art ……….. so much fun to create 🙂 my next plan is to go big… big with this style… needs some testing and trying out……… but i will get there. in the meantime i hope you enjoy my new style 🙂 my energy art as i call it.

let the colors speak … and i will stay quiet… sort of at least

i am doing two things at the moment……. art-wise that is. on the one hand i follow my usual chaotic style… but as of lately a new “style” has slowly crept in. a style that works purely with colours. no figures…. no trees, no people or houses…….. just colors…….. colors that say it all. i will show you some of those today… and let THEM do the talking … or … the whispering.. or whatever appeals to you… makes you hear them… sometimes… also the eyes can hear….. did you know that ? so…… listen carefully and i hope you will enjoy :).

as you can see… this is a novum for me. a novum in the sense that i can stick to one style alone… well two that is.. but this is the first time that something consistent is happening. i know therer is more… there will be more…… so come with me on my journey ……….. and let’s go for it, in colors….

… negative space .. which is not negative at all …

… it is spontaneous …. and it is fun… and the title says it all … at least i think so

DANCING FULL OF JOY

I think the title really says it all : “DANCING FULL OF JOY” .. YES… it is happy, full of fun, movement, joy … what more can i say. that i created it very quickly, without thinking, just following my muse? ok.. then that is what i will say. it was strange working … because i was 3/4ers asleep. i was diagnosed with shingles on friday and girls and boys.. i thought i knew everything about being tired….. but NOW i am flat out. shattered, exhausted. just imagine what my body all needs to deal with… cancer, chemotherapy, shingles, a virus medicine, a blood thinner, chronic fatigue….. and now THIS on top of it all. but still, i want to create art and i am quite happy that i actually managed to create another piece, completely different, a digital abstract, created in PaintShopPro… here a small photo of it.. hope you like that too

hi there, it’s me again… with some ECHOES FROM THE PAST

… this is actually the title of my new piece of art….. ECHOES FROM THE PAST… which would also mean.. memories. what memories do i have from my past…… what memories do you have from your past?? is it all good, better and best ? or bad, worse… worst ? to me it is a bit of both. there are good memories… wonderful ones in fact…… others are not so nice….. but then what to do… shrug your shoulders and move on. the past is the past and cannot be undone.. it is part of US… our personal history…. or life… it has formed us…. made us into what we are today…… that’s just life isn’t it………..

… from traditional to digital ….

hi everybody

it’s been a while … sorry for not communicating … life happens….. ART happens……. and since art IS life… yes well that would take us too far now 🙂

hope you are all doing well… and just a few infos. i sold 3 paintings… i got a commission to do one in the Bird & Apple Tree style, sold another small one….. AND changed my hair style……. LOL.. from waist-length to an almost shaved head.. bald is beautiful my friends ! i was interviewed this morning….. YAY … and there will be a publication of this interview – yeah kinda logic… – but it will be in german…. mh.

apart from that.. all is well.. and now… this is what the header is all about. i did this painting in the traditional style… all in acrylics in fact, on cardboard… recycling art rocks ! .. a fish… painted on a piece of cardboard, which originally was a box for catfood….. ha ha…. kind of ironic isn’t it. so it was one fish at first… then i digitalized it.. and had the idea of mirroring it… and editing it a bit more in my various programs… and my painting went from the original “3-Auge / 3-Eyes … to the zodiac sign of PISCIES …….. i like it myself to be honest… the tribal quality it has. i love fish.. as you all know.. love to paint them.. but right now i am working on a new cardboard-art piece.. another theme i love.. houses.. villages, cities… and life there….. you’ll see.. i will publish it for you once it is done.

… what a contrast … !!!

well… i create lots of art… and all types of art. at first i was a bit embarassed about it… i felt that i had to stick to one style only.. a MUST in the artworld.. so i was told. well.. i tried it…….. and what happened ? my muse took i hike… she just left me… with no ideas to create anything…

so… i gathered up my courage and thought…… balls to that stupid idea… i create whatever i want, whenever i want to. digital art, traditional art, mixed media, acrylic… drawings…… photography…… i am sorry (no i am NOT).. i just cannot help it. one day i feel like this.. another one like that… and then.. it all happens at once.. like today. the result you will see below 🙂 just an example… but those are two sides of me.. both very bright and colourful.. as all of my art … only photography.. there i will stick to black and white… a little bit of contrast is also necessary 🙂 so here we go.. one is a mandala, Raspberry Mandala i called it… because of it’s VERY PINK character………. the other one Sunflower Magic is a mixed media piece i created on cardboard.. both are available as prints and on various products in my stores 🙂 hope you enjoy 🙂

…. and so the times are a changing ….

... or in other words... can you smell it ?? do you notice it ?? spring is in the air.. most definitely... yes it is still cold - around zero degrees centigrade - it's been freezing last week but now the temps are going up slightly... but.. the sky is blue and the sun is shining and there is just that SPRING feeling ... and that inspired me to a new series.. a new collection of digital art. yes i know.. i have been complaining about my computer being not equipped for really creating digital art... but i have the time to wait for it to "work" and do the necessary renderings ... taking it's own sweet time.. so i am going wild on flowers an blossoms.. and her are my first creations of that series 🙂 here is a list of where all these floral designs can be purchased.. so.. the muse has taken me in a completely different direction again.. at least the colour scheme is sort of the same .. i need to keep busy.. it keeps me awake. my chemotherapy makes me extremely tired.. the moment i sit comfortably, i doze off and soon glide into a deep and sound sleep… not really my idea of spending the day.. and mind you.. i sleep like a log at night too… so.. instead of sitting comfortably in a chair or on my red sofa… i paint.. i let the muse guide me to new realms… art and my journey being a constant adventure !!
