shocking isn’t it………… suddenly this totally abstract, digital art.. i LOVE creating digital art… problem is, that my computer is just not really ideal for it. doesn’t matter.. that wont stop me. i need to create digital art.. i need to do photography… i need it to be balanced… one enhances the other.. one inspires the other.. if i would paint only, i would feel unbalanced..

…. WIP .. new WorkInProgress

new WIP … i haven’t created many new things lately..  i’ve been having one cold after the other and that is kind of annoying and it also blocks the creative flow.
this image however… started off after i visited a self help group for people with cancer related fatigue.. it was my first visit to the group and there were 6 of us.. 5 women and one man.. it was a good group.. and after the meeting i went home and felt energized.. and sat down and started to paint this. lots of energy flowing in it.. connecting and touching.. moving around.. all on a calm blue background.. well.. it is still a WIP and might completely change.. but somehow i doubt that 🙂 hopefully i can finish it tomorrow 🙂

for this print i was inspired by kintsugi, the japanese art of fixing broken pottery with gold. wabi-sabi: embracing the Imperfect. In japanese philosophy there exists the idea of “wabi-sabi,” the act of embracing the flawed or the imperfect. When kintsugi is used to mend together broken pottery, the cracks are highlighted, rather than hidden, as i did in my print .. the torn pieces are mended together with gold and thus highlighted.
