starting on a new one …

starting on a new piece of art is always an adventure for me… cause my inner child and my muse take control.. i let them handle it… give them free reign. i suppose.. it will be another piece of happy art – that’s what my inner child and i decided to call my style …… 🙂 when people tell me that my art puts a smile on their face and makes them happy… well i guess, i may call it that 🙂 HAPPY ART ……… from a happy artist.

waves… curves… that is what i see … but of course this is no indication at all, of what the finished piece will look like, what it will be all about.. the adventure can take me in all directions.. i am a drifter…… following the input i get, putting it down on this canvas board, embarking yet on another journey, guided by my inner child, my muse.. the collective unconscious, trusting the process that has started, feeling safe….  ….. happy weekend to all !

way up, high in the clouds.. that’s where this little village is situated… on the road from wakefulness to sleep.. .. as we drift off……. as our bodies start to feel lighter .. our eyes are closed .. and gradually we glide into sleep ……… that is when we reach the village ……..

first off………… i must tell you that the fish are gold .. nice and shimmery gold……. but of course this cannot be seen on a photo.. so.. just saying.. for your info. i have published this before, i think originally i painted this 2 years ago.. in recent weeks i have been lucky and sold several of my older pieces so i decided.. to give some of them a second chance also here.. in my blog. this mixedmedia painting is very special to me.. full of symbols, deep meaning, experience, history… yes ok.. most of my paintings are like that.. still.. this one is special to me. so if anybody wants to buy it.. it wont be cheap 😉 …seriously ! 🙂 if you are interested in it… please drop me a line through my contact page ..

second in my cardboardart series.. NIGHTNURSE

NIGHTNURSE

so here is the second contribution to my cardboardart, titled NIGHTNURSE … two more backgrounds are in the works. These weird characters … where do they come from ? I encountered them on my latest journey and will talk more about them later. i had so many positive and wonderful encounters and experiences on this journey.. but of course, there is always a not so nice side to everything, and slowly this side is also showing itself, emerging from deep within my soul. which is good.. a relief.. part of the process of acceptance and integration. so it is important to me to be able to put these characters down on paper.. or rather, on cardboard. however, so far i noticed something: yes, the characters are weird.. perhaps a bit scary at first.. but actually.. they are not. nightnurse is watchful, alert, vigilant, hearing everything and seeing everything. she protects and comforts… so is she really nightmarish? no.. she isn’t… she is just different…

Why Cardboard? the sizes of the paintings will vary.. as i use used cardboard.. the edges might be slightly off.. frayed.. the sides might be a bit crooked because they are cut-outs.. they can be tiny and they can be large. the main thing is.. they are used.. there is energy in them.. they are not pristine like watercolour paper that hasn’t been used before.. is clean and proper, almost virginal ..  this material has been in different hands, used, with a purpose, like a skin it is protecting the “insides” .. the goods.. the wares.. that is why i feel i can paint on this material.. it feels liberating, encouraging me to just “let go”.

 i am totally thrilled and happy to announce that this painting has already found a new home. next week it will be on its way to cape cod, usa ! thank you so much to the buyer.. i am grateful, thrilled and delighted ! it is amazing and i am full of gratitude, as this painting was bought before it was finished… i uploaded a WIP to my facebook page and and within a short time i was contacted by the buyer. wow! 

sorry about the poor quality of the photo.. the light conditions were not optimal today and i had to use artificial light. as the painting has a gloss finish, all the photos i took just never turned out nicely.. this was the best of all… so my apologizes for that. i will continue to add more paintings to this series… however if you wish to have a personalized energy painting, just for you, a relative or friend.. or even a room.. building or.. whatever.. just contact me for more info.
