ok i have been quiet.. once again.. forgive me please 🙂 been running around a lot and unfortunately this takes its toll on me… i feel washed out and exhausted … my energy levels heading towards “very low”… however.. art keeps me awake.. energizes me even… well we all know, that art heals ! so art gives me all the good energy i need.. but …. writing something in my blog is a different story … …… anyway.. got nothing planned til next tuesday so i can rest…… and paint… and rest some more….. paint some more.. etc etc 🙂

… what a contrast … !!!

well… i create lots of art… and all types of art. at first i was a bit embarassed about it… i felt that i had to stick to one style only.. a MUST in the artworld.. so i was told. well.. i tried it…….. and what happened ? my muse took i hike… she just left me… with no ideas to create anything…

so… i gathered up my courage and thought…… balls to that stupid idea… i create whatever i want, whenever i want to. digital art, traditional art, mixed media, acrylic… drawings…… photography…… i am sorry (no i am NOT).. i just cannot help it. one day i feel like this.. another one like that… and then.. it all happens at once.. like today. the result you will see below 🙂 just an example… but those are two sides of me.. both very bright and colourful.. as all of my art … only photography.. there i will stick to black and white… a little bit of contrast is also necessary 🙂 so here we go.. one is a mandala, Raspberry Mandala i called it… because of it’s VERY PINK character………. the other one Sunflower Magic is a mixed media piece i created on cardboard.. both are available as prints and on various products in my stores 🙂 hope you enjoy 🙂

.. i LOVE bumblebees .. what about you ??

my latestet painting…… is a little bumblebee .. kinda lost in all those flowers that are there. but .. it is a happy bumblebee because there ARE so many flowers there 🙂 bumblebee heaven you could say 🙂

this little painting was painted on paper i recycled… originally it was an advertisement sent to my house. i had no use for the stuff advertised… but i had use for the paper, which is strong quality. so i gessoed it several times.. with clear gesso and black gesso.. several layers of it.. to preserve my little painting et voilà … Bumblebee Heaven 🙂

here is my latest piece of art… from down below sealevel – see my previous blog entry – now we land in a garden.. my inner child makes us land there… in this – i have to say so myself – lovely monlit garden.. where a row of tulips is bathing in the light of the full moon… some nightcreature is flying towards the garden on the far right.. an owl perhaps ?? i don’t know, and the creature is not defined .. so let us just leave it as it is… flying into the night….

…. and so the times are a changing ….

... or in other words... can you smell it ?? do you notice it ?? spring is in the air.. most definitely... yes it is still cold - around zero degrees centigrade - it's been freezing last week but now the temps are going up slightly... but.. the sky is blue and the sun is shining and there is just that SPRING feeling ... and that inspired me to a new series.. a new collection of digital art. yes i know.. i have been complaining about my computer being not equipped for really creating digital art... but i have the time to wait for it to "work" and do the necessary renderings ... taking it's own sweet time.. so i am going wild on flowers an blossoms.. and her are my first creations of that series 🙂 here is a list of where all these floral designs can be purchased.. one real mean alley cat named ANTOINE… all the cats in town are in awe of him.. fear him even.. he never loses a fight and knows no fear……… BUT … when ANTOINE sees and smells daisies.. oh my gosh… then this huge big, mean old alley cat turns in to a purring ball of furry sweetness… now there you see what flowers can do !!!

so.. this looks like one happy snail to me.. small wonder.. isn’t it in a lovely field, surrounded by magical flowers? ok.. perhaps the snail would be a tad bit happier in a light summery rain ? well i am not a snail so i wouldn’t know. but… i personally LOVE rain.. yes of course, i also like the sun.. but give me a rainy day and i am happy 🙂 love the sound of the rain.. going for a walk in the rain.. and hearing the raindrops fall on the maples leaves right in front of my studio.. AND my bedroom (yes they both face the same side of the house) .. 🙂 the smell of rain as it hits the asphalt… walking in the woods in the rain.. that heavy earth-moss-mushroomy smell……… heavenly 🙂

.. this painting i created in memory of a dear friend of mine.. who sadly left this realm in april of this year. she and i have been friends for several years.. lisa was also an outsider artist.. and we never met personally.. we only exchanged emails.. messages on fb .. well the usual. friendships can grow.. even if you never meet in person. i am lucky to have a few such friends all over the world. yay to the internet for that.

the downside is.. that usually – apart from email address and fb account – there is no more info that we have. even if you exchange photos, art, ideas, thoughts… we rarely have a phone number.. or an address. in lisa’s case i did have an address because, as i mentioned, we swapped our art. so anyway.. one day.. you have a friend.. and next day.. this friend vanishes. ok.. lisa has been very sick.. and our contact became a bit less frequent over the past few months. she was in hospital on and off.. had treatments and procedures.. but we would stay in touch. not worrying if several weeks would pass without a word. now though.. i did have a bit of a funny feeling… and eventually i started looking for a phonenumber….. thanks google for that. imagine my shock when what i found was….. her obituary… ! 😦 … only 3 weeks after our last correspondance… she moved on.. to another realm……… yes, i was shocked.. yes i was sad. i did not feel like painting or creating any type of art for the past few days…… you migh have noticed. and then suddenly my muse took me to my studio… and this painting happened.. in memory of my dear friend lisa.. who was so fond of flowers.. nature… i feel blessed to have known such a wonderful person ♥
