….. that i write something on my blog again. so sorry for neglecting you all… but this radio therapy really made me so tired… still does. however, now i am on a roll. almost a painting per day.. and mostly either abstract… or neo expressionism…….. i will show you the last three works i created over the weekend. all my artwork is for sale… you can view it on my saatchi page 🙂
healthwise… yes as i mentioned… i am still in my radiation therapy but on thursday will be the last session. i am glad about it but i am happy that the treatment already has brought some improvements. the pain levels have gone down and it is a bit easier for me to walk. i still have nerve pain but not as much as before … but i also have a good pain management now. a good palliative doc… plus my carers see to me 🙂
i just decided i want a new tattoo. wrote to my oncologist when i can make it.. i.e. like how long after radiotherpay can i be inked… not a big one… just a celtic symbol.. which is also relevant in christianity as it represents the father, son and holy spirit. three ovals and a ring in the middle… combining all three together. ach hard to explain.. once i have it.. i will show it. what i will show you now are my latest paintings. i hope you will enjoy 🙂 bonne soirée à tous…….. have a lovely evening…… see you soon again 🙂

i was inspired by Led Zeppelin’s great title Kashmir when creating this art…
Lisa’s Garden – Lisa’s Garten …

.. this painting i created in memory of a dear friend of mine.. who sadly left this realm in april of this year. she and i have been friends for several years.. lisa was also an outsider artist.. and we never met personally.. we only exchanged emails.. messages on fb .. well the usual. friendships can grow.. even if you never meet in person. i am lucky to have a few such friends all over the world. yay to the internet for that.
the downside is.. that usually – apart from email address and fb account – there is no more info that we have. even if you exchange photos, art, ideas, thoughts… we rarely have a phone number.. or an address. in lisa’s case i did have an address because, as i mentioned, we swapped our art. so anyway.. one day.. you have a friend.. and next day.. this friend vanishes. ok.. lisa has been very sick.. and our contact became a bit less frequent over the past few months. she was in hospital on and off.. had treatments and procedures.. but we would stay in touch. not worrying if several weeks would pass without a word. now though.. i did have a bit of a funny feeling… and eventually i started looking for a phonenumber….. thanks google for that. imagine my shock when what i found was….. her obituary… ! 😦 … only 3 weeks after our last correspondance… she moved on.. to another realm……… yes, i was shocked.. yes i was sad. i did not feel like painting or creating any type of art for the past few days…… you migh have noticed. and then suddenly my muse took me to my studio… and this painting happened.. in memory of my dear friend lisa.. who was so fond of flowers.. nature… i feel blessed to have known such a wonderful person ♥
… at the Pink Coral .. is a standard saying down here in the reef.. we meet.. “at the Pink Coral” and everybody knows what that means… and where it is.. right beside the blue Shell-Inn, where they serve lovely fish food, Algae Quiche or roasted Sandworm .. there’s something for every taste there… the old, the young and the middle aged meet at the Pink Coral… for a chat… to hit the town … to exchange the latest news.. the Pink Coral is definitely a central meeting place down here…….

i honestly don’t know if the term is “correct” .. but i feel it is……… my style is very expressive.. and i am definitely an outsider…….. and intuitive arist.. and i use a lot of symbols in my art.. but that would be too much.. expressive-intuitive-symbolic-outsider … def too much. so i stick to.. what i said in the title.
anyway… the wise one… the ancient tree… symbol for life, for the self… for growth, family.. deeply rooted in mother earth… reaching for the heavens… spreading, growing .. branching off, whilst the roots grow and spread within the ground, stabilizing and nourishing the tree .. i will not go into detail.. i think we all have our own views, our own meanings, stories and histories connected to trees…
i love trees. the beautiful almost perfect ones.. but even more so the gnarly ones.. the oddly shaped ones.. with faces and knobs and scars.. they have their stories to tell .. how wonderful it is to be with such a tree… in silence, listening and feeling the story it has to tell us.

Starburst
digital art… an abstract impression of an exploding star… of energy and power in a far away galaxy… just that? no of course not… it is also symbolic for our life, for living…… for being alive.. the star explodes… but it does not vanish.. it does not “go away” .. instead many new stars are created, enriching the universe .. shining ever so bright…

Polkadot Daisy
a new addition to my cardboard-art family.. as usual it started with three gesso coatings.. and then things just happened.. many layers of paint and paper later .. suddenly the daisy made an appearance.. obviously it liked the soil i prepared.. cause immediately the polkadots showed up. the original is not for sale… but the polkadot daisy is available on various products .. and prints, cards and posters.
