oh wow………

it is AAAAAAAAAAGES……. since i have been here last. i just couldn’t write. i was in hospital twice… once i even landed on ICU and my family was called by the docs… were told to wish me goodbye & farewell … well as you can see, i am still here.. thank you God for that 🙂 i am still with my lovely husband, family, friends… carers, … careres…. yes….. because they care …. for me…… and about me. and that is wonderful… my cancer is the same as before… i think at the moment the metastases have been stopped from growing more. they haven’t spread either … but of course i am in a wheelchair. i can not walk longer distancances… well short ones neither. thus the wheelchair. i do have a ROLLI tho… short stretches like in my apartment are ok with that. and the beauty is.. i can turn it around and sit down in it. that is good because my legs just give out at times….. how to walk properly if there is no feeling in your legs, your feet, your thighs ? awkward i can tell you. but i am good. no more than that. i am fine 🙂 God is with me.. i love Him i can tell ya. HE does so much for me too….. HE is the real carer … as i said, i LOVE him and i care for him too and i am full of gratitude for the lovely things i get daily. i am forever grateful for this gift i got from Him. … i am a positive person… i am an optimist… and i love life. this is what lets me live with cancer, cancer that – according to meds – is not cureable. … cancer in the last stage.. i have palliative care…… palliative meaning —> perhaps prolonging life, making living circumstances more comfy…
my death has been taken care of. i have made plans, which i still need to write down, but it is all here in my head… having looked at death and having made those plans… i can put all of this death-stuff aside and continue enjoying life 🙂
of course, when i was hospitalised i did not create art….. just one piece of a grumpy fish, very art brut, outsider art in style, this little fish in his grumpyness went off to the USA. but my creativity is back. i have made a few new paintings, and just today i started on a new piece of art… the background is happening. at the same time, ok about 2 weeks ago, i re-discovered an old love. knitting. at the moment it is either knitting or painting… my hands are always busy in a way. knitting has become my way to get grounded again… it is so zen, meditative, relaxing, fun… in short… i LOVE knitting 🙂 i will show you……. i am making a pair of sox for my bestie friend in the USA … and i will also show you my new background. and apart from that you have plenty to read …… so i will come to an end now. look at the pics… read what i wrote… or don’t … and i wish you all a lovely weekend.

it’s been a long long time…….. since i’ve been here

…. and i do feel bad about it. sorry.. my apologies…….. but life just took over in a big way… so big that i was just not motivated enough to write on my blog. but now…… tadaaaaaaaa… here i am again . of course i created new art…… LOTS of it…….. and i am definitely getting more and more into the outsider art/art brut/ art singulier – corner…… and i LOVE it 🙂 i will show it to you… one by one… and i will start with my newest creation. it has been suggested to me to make a series from that… but i am not sure if that will work. i DID start on a similar one though this morning……. so we shall see. so let us start with this one

so here they are. more fish……. 5 of them exactly… all very happy looking. well of course… they are off to town on a shopping spree! which fish wouldn’t look happy ?? well……. me for one…….. if i were a fish. i hate shopping sprees. if i want my shopping done.. i do it online…. OR……. dash into the store, get what i want and out i go again. yes, i am a definite anti shopper LOL. if others enjoy.. fine by me of course, as long as i am not dragged along……..

…. i continue on my watery journey in a very minimalistic way… but let me warn you… it will not continue in this manner. the next “fishy” painting is almost finished and it is anything BUT minimalistic. i hope you will enjoy this……. and also the next one… which is not quite finished yet.

of course, this is for sale… and the best place to look for it is at Saatchi Art , where i also have a small gallery. and there you’ll see, that my hair is really gone…… partly due to the chemo therapy, but partly also because i got so annoyed with the “quality” of my hair, that i decided to get rid of it. i like my head like this 🙂

hi there, it’s me again… with some ECHOES FROM THE PAST

… this is actually the title of my new piece of art….. ECHOES FROM THE PAST… which would also mean.. memories. what memories do i have from my past…… what memories do you have from your past?? is it all good, better and best ? or bad, worse… worst ? to me it is a bit of both. there are good memories… wonderful ones in fact…… others are not so nice….. but then what to do… shrug your shoulders and move on. the past is the past and cannot be undone.. it is part of US… our personal history…. or life… it has formed us…. made us into what we are today…… that’s just life isn’t it………..

OOOPS !!!!! subtitled… SH** happens …

well now….. this is my latest mixed media collage… mostly collage with some acrylic markers, lots of gesso and of course… acrylic medium…. sized…. 24 x 17 cm which is… 9.4 x 6.6 inches……

a little bit of a newish kind of style for me.. or at least let’s say a different approach. due to my bone cancer i cannot sit for too long… which is a bit of a challenge when you want to work – and no, i cannot stand for long either……. so…….. ?? a challenge, i have to find a new way to create, meaning …………… i have to work QUICK…… almost like a sketching… i start off with the gesso background….. then go on to the various layers of papers – where i included some of the new papers i got from my friends btw ……. – and then when the background is prepared… i took the markers and worked quickly. i had finished the slower process of background… slower because of course the various layers have to dry properly……. then i suddenly SAW the finished collage……. sat down and finished this new piece of art 🙂 i hope you like it. the title is OOPS !!! cause you can see what is about to happen… and if you look to the left upper corner.. there is this little pink fishie… obviously grinning and just waiting for it to happen… ….. YES.. we will get rid of this big bully… sh** happens …. karma is about to hit home… good riddance… that is all i can see in this little fishie… you too ??

OOPS !!!

wow.. long break… but.. i am … Crazy About You Baby !!!

yes.. i was gone for quite a while… sorry about that ………. but i had a bit of a roughish time.. slowly getting better though… back to painting…… back to fun……….. joy……… experimenting and… just being creative.

in the meantime i also got quite a few new papers for my collages. i asked for paper contributions from my Facebook friends… and quite a number of them were so kind to send me new papers……… 🙂

before my “roughish time” i had started three paintings.. one i finished today… when i was “interrupted” .. i only had the black background…… and today………. wow……… creativity hit me and i finished it… here we go

… from traditional to digital ….

hi everybody

it’s been a while … sorry for not communicating … life happens….. ART happens……. and since art IS life… yes well that would take us too far now 🙂

hope you are all doing well… and just a few infos. i sold 3 paintings… i got a commission to do one in the Bird & Apple Tree style, sold another small one….. AND changed my hair style……. LOL.. from waist-length to an almost shaved head.. bald is beautiful my friends ! i was interviewed this morning….. YAY … and there will be a publication of this interview – yeah kinda logic… – but it will be in german…. mh.

apart from that.. all is well.. and now… this is what the header is all about. i did this painting in the traditional style… all in acrylics in fact, on cardboard… recycling art rocks ! .. a fish… painted on a piece of cardboard, which originally was a box for catfood….. ha ha…. kind of ironic isn’t it. so it was one fish at first… then i digitalized it.. and had the idea of mirroring it… and editing it a bit more in my various programs… and my painting went from the original “3-Auge / 3-Eyes … to the zodiac sign of PISCIES …….. i like it myself to be honest… the tribal quality it has. i love fish.. as you all know.. love to paint them.. but right now i am working on a new cardboard-art piece.. another theme i love.. houses.. villages, cities… and life there….. you’ll see.. i will publish it for you once it is done.

… and now for the details …

my new art… is very… full… lots of stuff going on in this one… but i like it. i like to create big, but detailed art…. i like macro photography… this is like macro photography… only it is a painting – or drawing . i like going into details… going deeper and searching, analyzing, finding stories within stories, within stories….. i think this might be a line i want to pursue… going big by staying small… it’s all in the detail ……….
