I thought it was finished, then realized, it wasn’t. Now it is!

so now you see it…. have proof…. of how i jump around……. from digital.. to photography… from abstract … to outsider art… and all in a day. yeah well…… that’s me. chaotic, letting the inner child create… and having so much fun doing it.

hi everybody
it’s been a while … sorry for not communicating … life happens….. ART happens……. and since art IS life… yes well that would take us too far now 🙂
hope you are all doing well… and just a few infos. i sold 3 paintings… i got a commission to do one in the Bird & Apple Tree style, sold another small one….. AND changed my hair style……. LOL.. from waist-length to an almost shaved head.. bald is beautiful my friends ! i was interviewed this morning….. YAY … and there will be a publication of this interview – yeah kinda logic… – but it will be in german…. mh.
apart from that.. all is well.. and now… this is what the header is all about. i did this painting in the traditional style… all in acrylics in fact, on cardboard… recycling art rocks ! .. a fish… painted on a piece of cardboard, which originally was a box for catfood….. ha ha…. kind of ironic isn’t it. so it was one fish at first… then i digitalized it.. and had the idea of mirroring it… and editing it a bit more in my various programs… and my painting went from the original “3-Auge / 3-Eyes … to the zodiac sign of PISCIES …….. i like it myself to be honest… the tribal quality it has. i love fish.. as you all know.. love to paint them.. but right now i am working on a new cardboard-art piece.. another theme i love.. houses.. villages, cities… and life there….. you’ll see.. i will publish it for you once it is done.

last night the muse took over.. only went to bed around 2 a.m. finished 3 paintings which were kind of half finished… and started on a new one. .. well actually 2 new ones…… i want to show them to you here.. input is always welcome:) i notice that i seem to become more and more.. tribal.. or archaic? what is the right word for it? archetypal ?? anyway… have a look.. and let me know please 
i will give you some thoughts i have.. which doesn’t happen too often.. i know 
   … the finished ones are in the middle photo.. as i said.. very tribal.. i guess my living in africa for several years – and asia too of course – definitely influences me there.. these paintings are very.. raw in a way.. deep, go way way back.. generations back….. are emotional and highly symbolic.. they show guardians, spirits, protectors, they are in a dreamworld, an in-between-world, there is mythology in them.. greek, roman… and more.. further back.. shamanism and superstition…… i know they cannot be seen too cleary.. yet… the one on the left is a nature spirit.. the middle one.. the woman is the weaver.. and to the right are guardians…
the new one i started on last night.. is that face.. in the shadow.. not quite clear.. there.. and yet not. it symbolises fear.. we all know fear.. we all have it.. sometimes more.. sometimes less.. it comes out of the shadows before my three-monthly checkups.. will all be ok ?? .. sometimes it becomes big and almost overwhelms us.. then it grows small again and almost disappears…. almost… but never quite. but that is ok.. fear.. is also a guardian.. a friend even.. it should not be pushed into the shadows but be welcomed and accepted.. fear protects us from doing silly things.. rash things.. dangerous things.. fear make us think, reflect … fear should be embraced…because
the more fear is pushed away from us.. the bigger and larger it will grow.. becomes a presence.. ruling our life.. there is no need to be afraid of it .. smile at fear and make it your friend … ……. …. my technique here is again very mixed media.. and.. i put the brushes aside and used my fingers to paint.. so this is really very very personal… not quite finished… but not far from being completed………

There is this function here on WP .. the “Reader”… which i sadly neglect.. most of the time. if not, i would have seen that 1 day ago.. my blog got its 100th follower! oh .. wow… partytime 🙂 this is really something.. for a blog without words.. or perhaps.. it is BECAUSE i rarely write anything here.. well whatever.. it is nice. i am happy and.. a hearty welcome to follower 100 !
